Level 1 Fire Rating

To meet the Australian standards AS3959 for construction of buildings in a bush fire area level 1 the following must be adhered to.

All open-able windows shall be screened with corrosion resistant steel,bronze or aluminium mesh with a maximum aperture size of 1.8mm in such a way that the entire opening remains screened when the window is opened.

Requirement specifications of aluminium mesh include;

• Wire diameter .025mm,
• Hole size 1.8mm.
